Connect Super Memory to Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini

Steps checked 2 October 2026

Go Echoo’s connector lets an AI app search, read and add to your Super Memory, the notes you dictate and save in Go Echoo. You give the app one address, sign in on goechoo.com, and press Allow.

Connector URL

https://mcp.goechoo.com/mcp

What it can do

  • Search your notes for the words you give it, and show the best matches with a short excerpt.
  • Open one note and read it in full.
  • List your recent notes, newest first.
  • Save a note when you ask it to. The note appears in Go Echoo, marked with the name of the app that saved it.

That is all. It cannot change or delete a note, and it cannot see your dictation history, your dictionary, your settings or your billing. Search matches words in titles and text, including words that start with what you typed. It does not search by meaning, so ask with the words you would have used in the note.

Who can use it

  • Anyone with a Go Echoo account on a trial or a paid plan. Without a live plan, the app cannot be approved, and an app you approved earlier is refused until the plan is back.
  • Cloud sync must be on in the Go Echoo app. The connector reads the copy of your notes on our servers, and that copy exists only when sync is on. A note an AI app saves while sync is off is kept, and reaches your devices once you switch sync on.
  • An AI app that can add a custom connector. Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini are below.

Connect in Claude

Claude on the web and in the desktop app, on every plan, including Free (Free allows one custom connector). On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner adds the connector for the whole team first, and members then connect it.

  1. In Claude, open Customize → Connectors. (In some versions this is Settings → Connectors.)
  2. Choose Add custom connector. (In some versions: Add → Custom → Web.)
  3. Name it Go Echoo and paste https://mcp.goechoo.com/mcp as the server URL. Keep the recommended sign-in settings. No client ID or secret is needed.
  4. Click Add. Claude opens goechoo.com: sign in with your Go Echoo account.
  5. Check the app name and what it asks for, and press Allow. You are sent back to Claude.
  6. In a chat, switch Go Echoo on from the + menu under Connectors, then ask, for example: “Search my Super Memory for the notes about the pricing idea.”

Connectors you add on the web or on desktop also appear in the Claude mobile apps. When Go Echoo is listed in Claude’s connector directory, you can add it from there instead of pasting the URL.

Claude Code

Add the connector from a terminal:

claude mcp add --transport http goechoo https://mcp.goechoo.com/mcp

Then run /mcp inside Claude Code and choose to sign in. Your browser opens goechoo.com. The Allow page warns you that the app runs on your own computer; for Claude Code that is expected, as long as you started the sign-in yourself.

Claude’s own steps: custom connectors in Claude.

Connect in ChatGPT

ChatGPT adds custom connectors through developer mode, on the web only. OpenAI’s developer docs list Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Education accounts. Its help pages say that, for now, only Business and Enterprise/Edu get full access and Pro gets the reading tools only. On a personal plan, ChatGPT may therefore be able to search and read your notes but not save new ones. OpenAI marks developer mode as elevated risk.

  1. On chatgpt.com, open Settings → Security and login and turn on Developer mode.
  2. Open Plugins and press the + button to create an app.
  3. Name it Go Echoo and enter https://mcp.goechoo.com/mcp as the MCP server URL. If you are asked for an authentication method, choose OAuth.
  4. Create it. ChatGPT sends you to goechoo.com: sign in and press Allow.
  5. In a chat, choose Developer mode from the + menu and select Go Echoo.

ChatGPT asks you to confirm before a tool that writes, such as saving a note. In a Business or Enterprise workspace, an admin has to allow developer mode and publish the app first. OpenAI’s steps: developer mode and MCP apps in ChatGPT and the developer mode guide.

Connect in Gemini

The Gemini app can connect custom apps by their MCP server URL. Google currently offers this only to people who are 18 or over and in the US, signed in with a personal Google Account (not a work or school account), using Gemini in English, with Keep Activity on. You add the app on the web, and it then works in the Gemini mobile app too. If you do not meet those conditions, the option is not shown yet, and Go Echoo cannot change that.

  1. On a computer, go to gemini.google.com.
  2. Open Settings → Connected Apps. (If you do not see it, try Personal Intelligence → Connected Apps.)
  3. Under Custom apps, choose Add a custom app.
  4. Enter https://mcp.goechoo.com/mcp. You do not need to enter credentials: Gemini registers itself with Go Echoo automatically.
  5. Click Next, sign in on goechoo.com, and press Allow.
  6. In a chat, type @ and pick Go Echoo to make Gemini use it.

Gemini asks you to confirm before it saves a note. Google’s steps: connect custom apps to Gemini.

Disconnect

  • On goechoo.com, open Account and press Disconnect beside the app under Connected AI apps. The app loses access at once.
  • Sign out from all devices, on the same page, ends every session of your account, and that includes every connected AI app.
  • You can also remove the connector inside the AI app: in Claude under Customize → Connectors; in ChatGPT under Settings → Plugins, then the app, then Disconnect; in Gemini under Settings → Connected Apps, then More details; in Claude Code with claude mcp remove goechoo. Your Account page shows what is still connected on our side.
  • Notes an app saved stay in your Super Memory until you delete them.

Troubleshooting

“Subscription required” or “no active plan”

Your account has no live trial or paid plan. When you press Allow, the page says the account has no active plan, and an app that was already connected gets a “subscription required” answer. Start a trial or subscribe on the Billing page, then try again.

Search finds nothing, or the app says your Super Memory is empty

Cloud sync is off, so our servers hold no copy of your notes. Switch on cloud sync in the Go Echoo app, let it finish syncing, and ask again. If sync is on and one note is missing, search with a word that is actually in it: the search matches words, not meaning.

Sign-in goes round in a loop

  • Sign in on goechoo.com in the same browser the AI app opened, with the account you use in Go Echoo, and allow cookies for goechoo.com. A private window or a strict cookie blocker can drop the sign-in on the way back.
  • The Allow page waits 10 minutes. After that it says the request has expired: start the connection again from the AI app.
  • If the AI app asks you to sign in again later, the connection ended: you pressed Disconnect, signed out from all devices, or the app did not use it for 30 days. Connect again and press Allow.
  • If the AI app shows an error after you pressed Allow, remove the connector in the app and add it again.

“Too many requests”

The connector answers up to 120 requests a minute for each account, and at most 30 in one burst. If an app sends more than that, wait a moment and ask again.

Privacy, in short

  • Nothing is connected until you press Allow on goechoo.com.
  • The app can search, read, list and add notes. Nothing else.
  • What the app reads goes to the company behind it (Anthropic, OpenAI or Google), and their privacy policy applies to it from then on.
  • We log each request without your search words or the text of any note, and delete the log after 90 days.
  • The app’s key lasts one hour and renews for up to 30 days of use. You can disconnect it at any time.

The full details are in our privacy policy, under Connecting AI apps.

Technical details

  • Remote MCP server over Streamable HTTP at https://mcp.goechoo.com/mcp.
  • Tools: search, fetch, list_recent_notes (read only) and create_note (adds a note, never destructive).
  • OAuth 2.1 with PKCE (S256) for public clients. Clients identify themselves with a Client ID Metadata Document or register dynamically. Scopes: memory:read, memory:write, and offline_access is accepted. Every connection gets a refresh token that rotates on use. A loopback redirect (Claude Code) may use any port.
  • Discovery: https://mcp.goechoo.com/.well-known/oauth-authorization-server and https://mcp.goechoo.com/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/mcp.
