Text isn't pasting
Windows: some apps block synthetic paste. Echo puts the text on your clipboard, so press Ctrl+V. In terminals, Ctrl+Shift+V. Mac: grant Accessibility permission. System Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Accessibility, then switch on Echo.
Microphone isn't working
Windows: Settings, then Privacy, then Microphone, and allow desktop apps. Mac: System Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Microphone, then switch on Echo.
Hotkey conflicts with something else
Change it in Settings, then Hotkeys. Hold and toggle can be set separately.
Does it work offline?
No. Transcription happens in the cloud, so Echo needs an internet connection.
Is my audio stored?
No. It's transcribed, the text comes back, and that's the end of it. The privacy policy has the full detail.
Which languages are supported?
Auto-detect plus 16: English, Hindi, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Russian, Ukrainian, Turkish, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Korean.
