Refund and Withdrawal

Not for publication — Draft. The German Widerrufsbelehrung must use the statutory model wording and be reviewed by a German lawyer before launch. Do not transcreate it.

Try it first — the trial is the refund

Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial, so you can try the whole product before you pay anything.

The trial is the full product, not a limited preview. That is deliberate: you decide whether Echo fits your work while it costs nothing, so paying is a decision you have already tested.

No refunds after purchase

Because the trial lets you check everything before you pay, a paid subscription is not refunded on request. Charges already made stand.

You can cancel any time and you will not be billed again — cancelling stops the next renewal, it does not refund the current period. Need help cancelling? Write to us.

Your statutory right of withdrawal (EU)

If you are a consumer in the EU you have a statutory right to withdraw within 14 days. This is your right under the law and it exists independently of the no-refund rule above — that rule cannot take it away.

For digital content this right can end early: when you start the paid subscription you are asked to consent to immediate access and to acknowledge that, once access begins, the withdrawal right lapses (§356(5) BGB). The free trial is why that is fair — you have already used the product before you consent.

Not for publication — The statutory model withdrawal form and the exact §356(5) BGB wording on early performance of digital content still need to be added, in German, with legal review.
